Job Title: Software developer 

We are a growing tech company dedicated to providing innovative solutions in the field of simulation-based optimization. Our team of experts is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible with the latest technologies and industry best practices. We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to join our team in Skövde. Our office is located at Science Park Skövde, a hub for innovative companies and a great environment for collaboration and growth.  

About Evoma AB 
Evoma AB was founded in 2014 as a research spin-off, with a mission to provide its customers with the latest in simulation and simulation-based optimization technologies. In addition to our flagship product, FACTS Analyzer Professional, we also offer customized research and consultancy services, as well as educational courses. Our team of experts can help optimize production flow, improve bottleneck processes, and reduce waiting times in healthcare systems. Our staff have experience in Engineering or Computing Sciences and specialize in software development, optimization algorithms, AI and simulation. 

Job Overview 
As a software developer with proficiency in C++, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. You will work closely with our team of developers and engineers to design, implement, and test software solutions that are scalable, reliable, and efficient. As a software developer at Evoma AB, you will play an integral role in the development of our cutting-edge simulation and optimization software. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a key client to ensure that their specific requirements are met while working alongside our team of expert software developers to enhance our next-generation software. 

Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and test C++ software solutions 
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that our solutions are integrated seamlessly into existing software 
  • Continuously optimize software performance and scalability 
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in the field of software development 

Requirements 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science or a related field.  
  • Strong proficiency in C++ programming language 
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, and Rust would be advantageous 
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, rendering, and animation techniques would be advantageous 
  • Experience with object-oriented programming principles and design patterns 
  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms 
  • Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies, including Git, Agile, and Scrum 
  • Strong problem-solving skills to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions 
  • Have keen attention to detail to ensure the proper functioning of software programs 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
